| SRPSKA BANKA
Усвојена је Одлука о издавању јавном понудом обичних акција IV емисије ради повећања основног капитала Српске банке а.д. Београд.
На основу ове одлуке издаје се 10.000 комада акција, појединачне номиналне вредности од 10.000,00 динара. Акције IV емисије продају се по емисионој цени од 72.700,00 динара по једној акцији, односно по укупној цени 727.000.000,00 динара. Постојећи акционари имају право пречег уписа 10.000 комада акција ове емисије, сразмерно номиналној вредности поседованих акција на дан одржавања Скупштине акционара (24.12.2007. године) по повлашћеној емисионој цени од 65.400,00 динара. Своје право постојећи акционари могу користити у периоду од 21 дана од почетка рока за упис и уплату акција, што ће бити јасно назначено јавним позивом за упис и уплату хартија од вредности. По искоришћењу права пречег уписа акција преостале акције су предмет слободне продаје по цени од 72.700,00 динара. |

| Banke u Srbiji su u prvih 11 meseci 2007. povećale kapital za 69,5 milijardi dinara, odnosno za oko 30 odsto, objavila je NBS. Kapital je povećalo 20 od ukupno 36 banaka na srpskom tržištu. Rad banaka će ovde biti i dalje isplativ. Prema istraživanju „Unikredit grupe“, strane banke, prema svojoj poslovnoj politici, ovo tržište smatraju svojim drugim domaćim tržištem sa velikim potencijalom za rast.
Najveći porast kredita biće u Rusiji, ali u Srbiji on neće značajnije da opadne, kažu podaci istog istraživanja.

| Osim „Moskovske banke“, koja zauzima četvrto mesto među bankama u Rusiji, očito da postoji interes i drugih ruskih banaka. On je i očekivan ako se uzme u obzir da ruska strana želi da ulaže u srpsku energetiku, saobraćaj, transport i turizam. Posle podnošenja zahteva za izdavanje licence za rad Centralnoj banci Crne Gore, postoje indicije i da je ruska grupacija banaka „Conversbanka Financial Group“, koju čini osam banaka iz Litvanije, Letonije i Rusije, takođe zaintersovana za srpsko tržište. Prema nekim spekulacijama, i „Gasprom banka“ pokazuje interes za „Univerzal banku“. Ipak, iako zvaničnici tvrde da postoji veliko interesovanje za bankarsko tržište, identitet ostalih bankarskih imena koja obilaze potencijalne kupce, još se javno ne izgovaraju.
Od 36 banaka, koliko trenutno radi u Srbiji, 22 banke su u većinskom vlasništvu stranih akcionara. Takođe, posluje i devet predstavništava stranih banaka, među kojima su i one sa svetskom reputacijom - „Citibenk“, „Komercbanka“, „Dojčebanka“, BNP Paribas... Toliki broj je i banaka sa većinskim ili manjinskim državnim vlasništvom. Kako za „Blic“ kaže Slobodan Ilić, državni sekretar u Ministarstvu finansija, u ovom trenutku je veoma teško precizno reći kojim redosledom će država otuđiti preostalo učešće po bankama.

| Rogue trader blamed for 4.9 billion euro fraud at Societe Generale

PARIS, Jan 24, 2008 (AFP) -
French banking giant Societe Generale said Thursday that a single rogue trader carried out a massive 4.9-billion-euro (7.15-billion-dollar) fraud -- one of the biggest in the finance industry.
Trading in the bank's shares was suspended on the Paris stock exchange after the revelation of the fraud along with a two-billion-euro loss stemming from the crisis in US subprime mortgage market.
The bank said the losses cut its 2007 profit to 600-800 million euros from 5.2 billion in 2006 and that it had carried out a 5.5 billion dollar capital increase because of the fraud "and in order to strengthen its capital base."
"I have the duty to inform you that the management of Societe Generale has discovered an internal fraud of a considerable scope, carried out by a member of staff in its financing and investment division," chairman Daniel Bouton said in a statement released on the bank's web site.
The bank announced separately that the fraud was worth 4.9 billion euros and that it had also lost about two billion euros because of the US subprime meltdown.
The new rogue trader has not been named but brings immediate comparisons to Nick Leeson, the British futures trader who lost 1.5 billion dollars at Barings, causing the failure of the venerable British bank in 1995.
Bouton said the Societe Generale trader had been suspended and that legal action would be taken against him.
He said the bank had also fired "executives, including leaders, responsible for the supervision and controls on the operations concerned." Bouton offered his resignation at an emergency board meeting on Wednesday but the bank said this was rejected.
"The transactions which involved the fraud were simple -- taking a position on shares rising -- but hidden using extremely sophisticated and varied techniques," Bouton said in his statement.
He added that he only found out about the fraud on Sunday and that the governor of the Bank of France had been informed.
The French central bank later said it would carry out an inquiry into the conditions under which the fraud occurred.
"The loss suffered is very big. All measures were taken on the spot to contain this. The failure of control procedures has been identified and corrected to avoid any new risk of a comparable nature."
Bouton sought to reassure investors despite the crisis, which he described as "sad and regretable."
"In effect, most of its areas, in France and abroad, have continued to give good and sometimes excellent operating results."
Bouton said the capital increase would more than compensate any losses from the fraud and the subprime damage and that it had been fully underwritten on Wednesday.
The chairman insisted that the bank could rebound from the crisis and resume the long years of profits it has known. "I see there, with the support of our shareholders and the engagement of our staff, a profound reason for optimism."
The bank said in a separate statement that its rogue trader had been carrying out what it called "vanilla futures hedging" on European equity markets.
It said the trader took out "massive fraudulent directional positions in 2007 and 2008 beyond his limited authority."
"Aided by his in-depth knowledge of the control procedures resulting from his former employment in the middle office, he managed to conceal these positions through a scheme of elaborate fictitious transactions."
It said these were discovered and investigated on January 19 and 20.
"The employee who has confessed to the fraud has been suspended and a dismissal procedure has been initiated. The individuals in charge of his supervision will leav the group."
The statement said that Societe Generale had also ordered a write-down of 2.05 billion euros because of the subprime crisis. It said 1.1 billion euros was because of US residential mortgage risk, 550 million euros because of exposure to "US monoline insurers" and 400 million euros in additional provisions because of the problems.
A Credit Agricole trader in New York cost the French bank 230 million euros in September. This was not attributed to fraud however.

It is my duty to inform you that Societe Generale has been victim of a serious internal fraud committed by an imprudent employee in the Corporate and Investment Banking Division.
The individual in question has been dismissed and legal action will be taken against him.
The Group's Board of Directors approved my decision to terminate the mandates of the managers, including the executive managers, involved in the breakdown of the supervision systems.
I naturally informed the Governor of the Bank of France and the Chairman of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers as soon as the situation was brought to my intention on Sunday, January 20th.
We have suffered a very significant loss. All possible measures were taken as quickly as possible to limit its impact. Control procedures have been revised and reinforced to avoid any reoccurrence of further similar risk.
In agreement with the Governor, Societe Generale will launch a capital increase in the coming days in order to support capital adequacy levels and maintain external ratings at the highest international standards. The capital increase is fully guaranteed, and will offset the loss generated by the fraud.
With the confirmation of the Group's financial strength, Societe Generale's capacity to bounce back and renew with the profitable growth that has characterised the bank for many years, remains intact.
My priority in resolving this unfortunate affair has been to preserve the interests of our clients and to continue to merit their confidence.

| Danas kad sam usao kuci sestra me zove i sva u ocajanju isprica mi ovu pricu s Soc Gen... Dala neku kintu na stednju (cini mi se) pa pita da li da podigne sta da radi...
E, mecka i njima zakucala na vrata... Imao sam tekuci kod njih, ali me nervirao taj sektaski odnos prema klijentima. Nisam mogao da odolim i da se prebacim u drugu banku... jos pre par godina. |

| Mislim da ce ovaj propust u S.G. osetiti najvise akcionari. Nece tu biti stete po stednju. Eventualno da se skupe pare i digne spomenik liku koji je toliko bio nesposoban da prokocka tolke pare. Na sred Jelisejskih polja!!! i to oni zovu bankom....  |

| Societe Generale: Unicredito sees situation as ‘extremely delicate’ at the moment, director
Unicredito Italiano sees the situation surrounding Societe Generale to be "extremely delicate," a Unicredito board member said.
The board member said while the bank is doing all it can to avoid showing any interest in Societe Generale, Unicredito is closely monitoring developments at the French bank.
The board member said the situation should become clearer in the week ahead as the market begins to digest the bank’s announced EUR 5bn trading loss and the French government begins to give signals on SocGen’s future.
The source said that many at the bank believe the French government will seek a merger between SocGen and BNP Paribas, rather than allow a foreign player to takeover one of France's leading banks.
Unicredito had explored a merger with Societe Generale prior to its decision to takeover Capitalia.

Moguce je. Lik je bio back office, pa middle office, pa se na kraju dochepao front office i prop deska. Znao je kako sistem radi i majstorski je manipulisao sisteme, ljude, etc. EUREX vidish kazu da su im bile sumnjive njegove pozicije pre skoro godinu ipo dana, ali da je uvek uspevao neko bullshit opravdanje da smisli.
Izgleda da je lik napravio gubitak od oko EUR 1.5 milijardi, ali je zatvaranje pozicija na loshim danima proshle nedelje koshtalo SocGen dodatnih EUR 3.5 milijardi. Glupi si do prekosutra.
Nije ovo gotovo. Josh ce sranja banke objavljivati. Ovo je tek pochetak...

| NBS povećao kamatnu stopu na 10,75%
Što bi trebalo da znači da je NEKO potrošio više para nego što je bilo dogovoreno, pa sad Guverner pokušava na ovaj način da skreše očekivan porast inflacije......... |
